Safeguarding Your Privacy is Our Priority

At Hyde Park Bank, the basis of each customer relationship is trust. You have chosen to do business with Hyde Park Bank, and we are obligated to honor that relationship with great care, beginning with the information you have chosen to share with us. We believe that your privacy should not be compromised. At the same time, we want to offer you the financial products and services you need to accomplish your financial goals. We believe we can do both through the Privacy Policy outlined below.

The confidentiality and protection of customer information is one of our fundamental responsibilities. While information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is our customers’ trust. Thus, the safekeeping of customer information is a priority for Hyde Park Bank.

Information We Collect and How We Use Information
We collect certain non-public personal information about you, including:

Information about your identity, such as your name, address, and social security number;

Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others, such as your account balance and payment history; and

Information we receive from consumer reporting agencies, such as your credit worthiness and credit history.

We collect, retain, and use this information about you in order to administer your records, accounts, and funds efficiently and accurately; to protect your records, accounts and funds from unauthorized access; to comply with certain laws and regulations; and to understand your financial needs so that we can provide you with quality products and superior service.

Information We Disclose
We disclose the information we collect to non-affiliated third parties as necessary to effect, administer or enforce transactions requested by you, such as to process checks you write or to provide confirmations of transactions you initiate. We may also disclose the information we collect about our customers or former customers to other non-affiliated third parties as otherwise permitted or required by law. These disclosures may include required disclosures to government agencies in response to subpoenas or other legal processes, or to consumer reporting agencies.

We may occasionally disclose the information we collect to non-affiliated third party service providers who provide support services to help us administer your financial relationship. These may include check printers, data processing companies, companies that prepare account statements, or companies that help us market our products and services to you. When we disclose customer information to these parties, we will insist, through written agreements, that they maintain the confidentiality of the information and that they do not use the information for any purpose beyond the performance of specified services on our behalf.

How We Protect Your Information
Each Hyde Park Bank employee is required to follow our “code of conduct,” which states that all customer information is considered private and privileged and is to be used solely for the purpose of providing you with the finest service available. Our employees are trained to understand and comply with these information principles. We maintain appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect against unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information.

Our employees are also trained to be aware of resourceful third parties who may try to obtain customer information through a practice known as "pretext phone calling." This is an attempt by a third party to use fraudulent means by posing as a customer, to induce an employee to provide account information. Hyde Park Bank has established guidelines and procedures to ensure that its employees will not disclose non-public customer information over the phone.

Correcting Your Information
We continually strive to maintain complete and accurate information about you and your accounts. Should you ever believe that our records contain inaccurate or incomplete information about you, please notify us. We will investigate your concerns and correct any inaccuracies.
